I was led astray by my brother.
Your apology is 50 years too late!! you may say.
Better late than never, say I.
I should explain that I lived almost in the shadow of the bridge when I was young scamp and witnessed it being built and did in fact climb up it. They built the two ends at the same time and I watched fascinated as they drew nearer and nearer and finally completed the arch.
